Leadership

Under the guidance of the faculty at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon, participants will learn about leadership, management, conflict resolution, managing change, and character-based decision making inspired by the life of George Washington.

Issues

Key community leaders will be invited to speak to your class to help you understand the complexities of the current issues that face our community. Experts will present an in-depth look at the issues and you will have the opportunity to explore these challenges, as well as effective solutions.

Your Commitment

When you join Leadership Mount Vernon Springfield, you are committing to attend all nine program sessions. Classes will be from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm each program day, at the Fred W. Smith National Library for the Study of George Washington at Mount Vernon.

The Leadership class provided a great opportunity to network and learn more about the community through the eyes of local officials and small business owners. Highly recommended!
