The Education Partnership Scholarship is a local scholarship that will only be awarded to local high school seniors. At least one scholarship will be awarded to one student from each of the high schools in the Chamber’s service area and often more than one students receives an award.

Students may apply online at https://mountvernonspringfield.com/business-scholarship-application/ or email info@mountvernonspringfield.com to request more information. The application deadline is Monday, April 27. Scholarships will be awarded on May 28, 6 pm, at a special reception hosted by the US Army Museum.

Businesses that would like to donate to or provide a scholarship through the Chamber’s 501(c)3 should contact Holly Dougherty, Chamber President, for information on how to be part of this important community effort. Local business such as Ourisman Automotive, Ahead, Cisco, Mount Vernon Knights of Columbus Club, Reworld, RUI, and Andrews Federal Credit Union have all contributed to the scholarship effort. The annual Chamber Golf Classic is the main fundraiser for the scholarship fund.

In addition to college-bound seniors, the Chamber is very interested in work with students who will be attending Northern Virginia Community College or pursuing training or certifications in a trade. If you know high school seniors who want to go into business please encourage them to apply for the Chamber’s scholarship.

For the past twenty-five years, the Chamber of Commerce has invested in the future of our community by awarding more than $358,000 in scholarships to develop the next generation of business and community leaders.
